John Wood Group has appointed Jade Moore as group chief financial officer with immediate effect, replacing interim CFO Iain Torrens who stepped up to CEO after the company’s acquisition by Sidara.
Ms Moore will be the Aberdeen-based company’s third CFO this year following the sudden resignation in February of Arvind Balan.
Based in London, Ms Moore served as group executive director at ED&F Man Holdings, where she co-led the organisation through a period of record performance.
Her earlier career includes senior leadership roles at Stemcor, EMI Group, and Terra Firma Capital Partners.
She has experience of leading businesses through complex transformations, financial restructures and M&A transactions across multiple sectors, including trading, manufacturing, financial services and media.
Ms Moore is a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds a masters degree from the University of Cambridge.
Wood Group chair Roy Franklin said: “Her financial expertise and experience in steering global organisations through complex change will be instrumental as we strengthen governance and deliver long-term value for our stakeholders.”
Mr Torrens said: “Jade brings a rare combination of strategic insight and operational discipline, with a proven ability to deliver results in challenging environments. Her leadership will be key as we accelerate performance and position Wood for the future.”
