A Scottish business angels group has invested jointly in a company pioneering women’s sexual health.

Mint Ventures led the round in MyBliss, alongside co-investors Alma Angels and Lifted Ventures.

MyBliss was founded by Huddersfield-based Mo Carrier and her fiance Joel Birkhead after Mo’s experience with the side effects of hormonal contraception.

It is now developing its flagship condom product through a £100,000 Innovate UK–funded project with the University of Manchester. It is also due to launch an intimate gel.

Gillian Fleming, managing director of Mint Ventures, said: “We are thrilled to support My Bliss and their visionary team.

“Their commitment to improving women’s health through evidence-based innovation aligns perfectly with our mission to back diverse founders who are changing the world for the better.

“We believe MyBliss is poised to make a significant difference to women’s health, and we’re excited to be part of their journey.”

Ms Carrier added: “Partnering with Mint Ventures marks an exciting new chapter for My Bliss.

“Their belief in our mission to transform women’s health is incredibly empowering, and their support will help us scale our impact and reach even more women seeking better, personalised wellbeing solutions.

“Together, we believe MyBliss is poised to do more than capture market share — it has the potential to redefine women’s sexual wellness, placing pleasure, comfort, and empowerment at the very heart of the conversation.”
