Harrison Holidays acquires Ardlui hotel and marina – Daily Business

Holiday and leisure company Harrison Holidays has acquired the Ardlui Hotel, Marina and Holiday Park, situated on the northern shore of Loch Lomond.

The £7 million deal follows the retirement of the previous owners of the site, set across 11 acres, with a 12-bedroom hotel, a marina, and a caravan park licensed for 96 units.

Harrison Holidays is undertaking a refurbishment of the hotel and surrounding grounds. It will also create additional lodge and pod accommodation for holiday rentals and refurbish two existing houses to operate as luxury holiday lets, whilst also looking at opportunities to expand the marina to accommodate more boats.

The HSBC UK–backed expansion is set to increase Preston-based Harrison Holidays’ turnover by 8% and create 10 jobs over the next 12 months.
